Today's musical collaboration on the second floor at Jazz Lab is going to be great. And, well, weird... but a good weird. Let's go there!
I was just in there as Gabe Jarrett, Greg Davis and Lee Anderson got going, creating swirling sounds of ambient music. Joining them shortly will be Brooklyn-based bassist Todd Sickafoose, who has collaborated with Nels Cline, Ani DiFranco, Anais Mitchell and Don Byron, among many others. He'll be performing tonight at Club Metronome. I'll see you there...

Weird often means unfamiliar. With any "new" music or sound you have to let go of old ideas to create space in your mind to hear fresh things. Loved it!
